About the project
The Brief
A risk assessment uncovered the digital footprint of CCC officers represented a significant risk to safety of individuals and to the reputation of the CCC generally.
Additionally, the CCC has strict disclosure requirements around declarable activity, including external sources of income derived from online activities, and needed to ‘refresh’ staff memory of these obligations.
Ultimately, senior leadership were looking for a module that encouraged people to make good choices.
In an environment of compliance fatigue, I was tasked with building a compliance module that didn’t feel like a compliance module.

The Solution
Your Digital Footprint represented a significant shift forward for the CCC in terms of design process, content development and evaluation, not to mention the look and feel of eLearning products.
Instead of their historical approach to importing a text-heavy PowerPoint deck into Storyline and adding a quiz to the end, I worked with stakeholders to co-design a product driven by learner experience, not text.
Incorporating a range of relatable characters and realistic situations, I built a scenario-based experience that rewarded good choices. Feedback such as “So glad there wasn’t a quiz!” was one of many examples where the module didn’t meet participant expectations - in a good way.
