About the project
The Brief
During my facilitation engagements at the department, clients would often request additional support in terms of building internal facilitation capability.
People expressed a desire to facilitate events where positive experiences were the rule rather than the exception.
Acknowledging this requirement, and in the absence of any internal offering to deliver the capability, I initiated a project to design a professional development program on behalf of L&D.

The Solution
Leveraging my facilitation experience, established client relationships and understanding of the department, I designed a PD offering containing 7 modules, blended to meet a team’s specific requirements and context.
Topics included fundamentals, troublemakers, emotional intelligence, storytelling, presentation design, simulation and debriefing. The program was experiential in nature, with the design informed by participants themselves through a social learning model.
Clients included teams from the indigenous education, community education, relationship education and wellbeing functions.
Participant feedback has been very positive, with ‘word of mouth’ requests forthcoming after each engagement.
