About the project
The Brief
HATCH was undergoing massive global growth in the mid-2000s and needed to make a major shift in their project management methodology and the way they supported project teams around the world.
In response to this need, the global practice lead for document management developed a concept ‘boot camp’ for new document management practitioners.
As a regional manager with experience in developing and delivering training, I was asked to contribute content and facilitate in the first such camp, in Perth in 2006.

The Solution
What began as a two-week secondment to the Perth event in 2006, ended up in a full-time project specialist role, travelling the world and delivering targeted project setup and document management training to audiences in Australia, Brazil, South Africa and China.
I was the sole facilitator at the international events, contextualising content to suit local requirements for audiences of up to 20 people and working closely with local staff to establish supportive, ongoing relationships.

Testimonials
Matthew, you have a natural understanding of target audience needs, course structure and the investment in time required to develop a program.
I’m impressed with your remarkable ability to facilitate the learning process in the classroom and to motivate attendees to be active participants in your sessions.
